Guess Who’s Coming to Kilbourn

May 18, 2017

If you weren’t paying attention, you might have missed that these guys will be here in the fall:

That’s Sō Percussion – they’re playing at Kilbourn Hall on September 19th. Pianist Paul Lewis will be on that stage on November 13th, as part of Eastman’s Fernando Laires Piano Series. Violinist Jennifer Koh and pianist Shai Wosner will be here in December. The Jupiter Quartet & the Ying Quartet  are also on the schedule this fall.

Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music

And don’t forget to check the World Music Series at Eastman – you might miss oud player Rahim AlHaj and….my new favorite band: DakhaBrakha

This world-music quartet from Kyiv, Ukraine describes their musical style as "ethnic chaos." Whatever you call it - this is some of the most strangely compelling music I have ever heard. Dakha Brakha will be at the jazz fest this summer and they're playing Kilbourn Hall on November 20th

I don’t mean to rush the summer away – but I would hate for you to miss marking these things on your calendar for the fall. Delve into the rest of the lineup for Eastman’s various concert series on the Eastman Theatre website.
