1/7    Time for Three (violinists Nicolas Kendall and Charles Yang - a From the Top alum, and double-bassist Ranaan Meyer) joins host Christopher O’Riley and some exceptional pre-collegiate musicians for an exciting program featuring music spanning from the 18th to the 21st century.
1/14    From Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Room we’ll feature a teenage counter-tenor as well as his guitar-playing collaborator for two beautiful art songs. Also on the program, a piece by a teenage composer is given its radio premiere by a quintet of From the Top alums, and a 16-year-old pianist who could give Yuja Wang a run for her money performs a fiery piece by Alberto Ginastera.
1/21    This week’s show features extraordinary performances of Dvorak, Hindemith, and Bach by Daniel Bae, Violin, 14, from Lubbock, Texas; Beatrice Chen, Viola, 14, from Chicago; Kathleen Cho, Guitar, 18, from Potomac, Maryland;  Daniel Solowey, Clarinet, 16, from Sarasota, Florida and Gabriel Martins, Cello, 19, from Los Angeles.
1/28    From Boston we feature a 12-year-old cellist performing a show piece by David Popper, we hear a moving setting of a Newfoundland folks song performed by the Young Women’s Chamber Choir of Boston’s famous Handel and Haydn Society, and we’ll meet a Boston teenager so zealous about studying classical music, he managed to cram four instruments, two Boston orchestras, and a chorus into his life.
