The largest gathering of keyboard artists in North America, The Gilmore Keyboard Festival has become a leading American festival known around the world for celebrating the joy and power of keyboard music in concerts, lectures, master classes and films.

Presented biennially over three weeks in April and May, the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, based in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is internationally recognized as America’s most prestigious piano music festival. The Gilmore’s nearly 100 Festival events showcase some of the most notable and accomplished pianists and keyboard musicians in the world along with artists just emerging on the international stage.

A very unique relationship: Richard Wagner and Franz Liszt did not always see eye to eye.  Though Wagner made Liszt nervous with his neuroticism, Liszt still championed Wanger's music.  After all, they were family!  Wagner's second wife and only love was Cosima, Liszt's daughter.  With such history, it's fascinating to listen to music composed by one and arranged by the other!
