This edition of Concierto is all about the tango, with music from the 20th century “father of new tango,” Astor Piazzolla, as well as more recent works by Jose Bragato and Miguel del Águila. Three-time Grammy nominated American composer Miguel del Aguila was born 1957 in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Bandoneon player, composer, arranger and musical director, Daniel Binelli has had an outstanding international career. He was for 10 years a member of Osvaldo Pugliese's Orchestra and later joined the "Orquesta de Atilio Stampone" and the "Orquesta del Tango de Buenos Aires" as a bandoneon soloist. In 1989 he was invited by Astor Piazzolla to join Piazzolla's New Tango Sextet with which he toured widely in Europe and Latin America. Today Binelli is widely acclaimed as the foremost exponent and torchbearer of the music of Astor Piazzolla.
